In the third quarter of 2022, the top travel and local apps in Madagascar exhibited diverse trends in downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the performance of these apps on a unified platform.

GPS Navigation Live Earth Map saw its weekly downloads fluctuating, starting with 1.3K in late June and dropping to a low of 67 in early September before stabilizing around the 150 mark by the end of the quarter. The app's active users also showed a decline from 1.9K to approximately 1K during the same period.

Airbnb experienced a peak in weekly downloads with 316 in mid-July, but saw a decrease to 160 by the end of September. The active user count for Airbnb remained relatively stable, peaking at 946 in mid-July and ending the quarter at 802.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel had a noticeable spike in weekly downloads, reaching 457 in mid-August. Active users for the app were consistently high, with a peak of 3.9K in mid-August and ending at 3K by the end of September.

MAPS.ME: Offline maps GPS Nav showed stable weekly downloads, peaking at 325 in early September. The active user base also exhibited a steady increase, reaching 867 in early September before settling at 691 by the end of the quarter. The app's revenue remained minimal throughout Q3 2022.

Lastly, GPS Navigation Live Map Road saw significant growth in weekly downloads, rising from 5 in late June to 289 by mid-September. The active user count increased from 73 in mid-July to a peak of 245 in mid-September before ending the quarter at 171.
